Programmable Stylus and Scriber Marking Machines:
The PC-controlled systems provide fast, flexible and high quality methods of marking date codes, batch numbers, traceability information, part or referencing numbers, and Data Matrix (2D Barcode) Technology.

The Borries 320 Series Markers are capable of marking Data Matrix ( 2D barcode) information. This barcode is then de-coded by a vision system. Find out more about Data Matrix on our New Products & Technology page.

The machines are fully programmable and capable of marking graphic symbols as well as both fixed and variable data. Downloading of data to be marked can be accomplished by many methods, from simple keyboard entry on a PC, to datalinks with plant computer systems and bar code scanners.

All of the series 300 machines feature X/Y axis travel of the marking tip by stepper motors driving a carriage on a ball screw and linear bearing designed platform. This design enables exceptional precision in location, and allows very consistent marking quality. Any of the models can be configured as either a stylus (vibrating needle) or scriber type.

Scriber Type Marking Machines
The Borries Scriber was developed for high marking quality, without the high noise levels. It produces a continuous line character and is suited for marking metal and plastic parts, labels, small fabrications, cast and machined parts as well as automotive vehicle body and chassis components. The marking quality is much better than traditional dot matrix.
  • Low Noise (Below 70 DBA)
  • Available as benchtop units or for integration with automation
  • Up to 4 characters per second
  • Data Matrix
